sand garden—

a rake propped

on the new headstone Michael

a world of mystery

in the daisy’s center Marci

blossoms opening

to sun’s rays

the child leaves home Elijah

the neighbour’s lawn

greener than mine Michael

white spider loose

my freedom

gone Marci

fading sunset

a new day will come Elijah
