glazed with rainwater

beside the white geese Billie

let us go then you and I

to get pizza Michael

water water everywhere

the Mississippi lapping

at our porch Billie

I’ve seen the best minds

of my generation

cryonically frozen Michael

and miles to go before

I upgrade to first class Billie

my child’s balloon

disappearing

into that good night Michael
