first day of fall—

the red planet

on the evening news

the redhead in drag

eyeing me

redeye flight—

I erase the Sudoku

and start again

high up

in the red pine

my son’s balloon

the losing bullfighter

seeing red

my uncle’s new girlfriend

redlining

his classic Corvette
