Rengay Anthology Introduction
As it progresses into its 30th year in 2022, rengay seems to be surging in popularity. Rengay writing sessions have been common activities in recent online and in-person haiku gatherings, rengay make increasingly frequent appearances in haiku journals in numerous languages, and the new journal Tandem that debuted in April of 2021, the first rengay journal, is itself a landmark event in the evolution of this collaborative linked poetry. These and other events contribute to the growing maturity of rengay poetry. This anthology, edited by Michael Dylan Welch, seeks to represent outstanding examples of rengay by poets from around the world, organized here by the number of participants. This is a living website, and rengay will be added periodically, so do check back regularly.
